- ➤ Surprise resident Christopher Pullins, a board-certified Mayo Clinic physician, will serve as keynote speaker at the 10th annual MLK Day Celebration set for Saturday, Jan. 17 at Willow Canyon High School. The event honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy through service and local performances. Surprise Independent
- ➤ The Surprise Community and Resource Center will open this summer at the Original Town Site with new communications technology from a $25,000 grant by Cox Communications. City officials said the funding will help purchase a mobile tech cart with laptops for multigenerational programming. Surprise Independent
