- ➤ Surprise is hosting the Palm Trees: Selection and Care landscaping workshop on Saturday, Mar. 28 at the Surprise Water Education Center (16126 N. Civic Center Plaza) from 9 to 11:30 a.m., where certified master gardener Michael Eichstadt will teach selection methods and share palm history for the Valley. Surprise Independent
