- ➤ The Dysart Unified School District will host a teacher career fair on Wednesday, April 15 from 3 to 5 p.m. at its district office on 15802 N. Parkview Place, with walk-ins welcome + on-site interview registration available online for teaching roles for the 2026-27 school year. Surprise Independent
- ➤ The city of Surprise has opened registration for spring swimming lessons for residents—offering parent-tot, preschool, youth group, adaptive, dive school, and private sessions for all ages. Non-residents can begin signing up on Thursday, and classes are 35-minute sessions held Tuesday through Thursday over a two-week period. Surprise Independent

- ➤ Shadow Ridge beach volleyball is set for its first postseason berth this week with an 8-2 record after nearly not fielding a team two years ago when coach Ian Jensen built the squad (mainly from sophomores and freshmen) at Valley Vista High School. Surprise Independent
