- ➤ At its March 26 meeting, the Surprise P.E.O. Chapter FM elected new officers for 2026-27, including Karen Bertelsen, Debbie Van Zuiden, Sara Pringle, Beverly Breuning, Mary Tepe, Peggy Robbins and Laurel Haroldson. The nonprofit has aided over 129,000 women with more than $460 million in educational assistance. Surprise Independent

- ➤ ASU professor Hitendra Chaturvedi is helping local small businesses use AI by interviewing over 100 firms and planning a new tool that shows how to balance readiness & implementation. This research will guide companies to boost efficiency in the growing tech boom. ABC15
- ➤ The Original Rainbow Cone opened its first Arizona shop at 13510 N. Litchfield Road last week after a big marketing campaign and a ribbon cutting with city officials — the 100-year-old Chicago brand now serves its signature layered cone with flavors including orange sherbet, pistachio, Palmer House, strawberry, and chocolate.
