Surprise Vet Fest will take place on Saturday, Apr.

11 at Surprise Stadium from 5 to 8 p.m. Veterans, military families and supporters will enjoy live music, food trucks, vendor booths and military vehicle displays — a family-friendly community event.

MAG officials released a study on a potential ultimate interchange — connecting U.S. 60 from Loop 303 to 163rd Avenue in Surprise to ease slow traffic; the study addresses growth pressures that project northwest Surprise to reach 250,000 residents by 2050.

Grand resident Bob Higgins will join 400+ cyclists for the 24th Tri-State Trek on June 27 and 28.

The two-day, 200-mile ride begins and ends in Durham, New Hampshire and will travel through Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine to benefit the ALS Therapy Development Institute, marking his 12th year.
