- ➤ Arizona Charter Academy in Surprise will soon celebrate its designation as a Purple Star School to support military-connected families and their children (recognized by the Military Child Education Coalition and Arizona Purple Star Schools). Surprise Independent
- ➤ A landscaping workshop called 'Landscape and Gardening Tips for the Low Desert' will take place tomorrow, April 18 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Surprise Water Education Center (16126 N. - ➤ A coalition of community groups met at the Capitol on Thursday to urge lawmakers to lower housing, food, and health care costs. They said policies should support working families — a reminder that every vote matters in upcoming elections. ABC15

- ➤ A recent RentCafe report showed Gen Z homeownership in Arizona cities grew sharply, with Phoenix households rising from 3,171 in 2018 to 25,160 in 2023. Tucson led the nation with an increase from 35 to 5,991 owner households. ABC15
