- ➤ Carefree Covered RV Storage will hold its inaugural celebration in Surprise on Monday, June 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 18415 W. Deer Valley Road with a ribbon cutting by Mayor Kevin Sartor at 11:30 a.m. Attendees will enjoy raffles, complimentary lunch and giveaways while exploring a facility offering over 600 covered parking spaces, 24-hour security and a dog park—amenities that mark the company’s expansion in the region. - ➤ Ruben Rodela from GWA Architecture Inc. has requested a conditional use permit for a drive-thru Panda Express at a site northwest of Waddell and Litchfield roads. A community meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 30 at the Hilton Garden Inn to gather input on the project, which would make it the third Panda Express in Surprise. Surprise Independent
