NFL Hall of Famers Kurt and Brenda Warner, through their First Things First program — in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona — furnished the home with furniture, food, and supplies. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Voters in the Dysart Unified School District have another chance to decide on a $71.4M capital funding plan for school improvements on the Nov. 3 ballot (the governing board placed Proposition 421 on the ballot last month). The proposal will fund priority school projects if approved. Surprise Independent
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Southwest Human Development received a $250,000 award to expand its ADAPT Shop program that creates custom adaptive gear for children with disabilities. The funding will help build a larger space to reduce wait times and offer same-day support for more families. ABC15
