Good morning, Surprise.
🏘️ Community
A Surprise resident at The Grand expressed concern about BNSF’s planned 4,320-acre intermodal site in Wittman—he worries that increased truck and train traffic will worsen congestion and noise on U.S. 60 and affect nearly 9,500 nearby homes.
The resident urged for clearer public coverage and detailed maps of the project area to help local communities understand the impact.
The Grand Flag Detail Team will hold a formal Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 26 at the Veterans Monument in The Grand to honor local Korean- and Vietnam-era veterans (inviting community members to attend).
