- ➤ A Surprise man was arrested and charged with murder after he admitted to killing his wife — her body was found inside her vehicle — police said. Surprise Independent
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Fourteen Surprise students earned spots on Southern New Hampshire University's president's list (GPA 3.70 and above), and five others were named to the dean's list (GPA between 3.50 and 3.69) for the spring term. Surprise Independent
- ➤ Dysart Unified School District students earned 1,009 extra seals on their diplomas for meeting strict arts and personal finance standards this school year. The district awarded 21 arts seals—including 12 double awards—and 748 personal finance seals at its Dysart—Shadow Ridge—Valley Vista—Willow Canyon high schools. Surprise Independent
