- ➤ Surprise and El Mirage students in grades 3-12 took part in Dysart Unified School District’s fifth annual writing contest that asked them to submit 30-90 second video scripts on why they love El Mirage or America, and winners will be honored at upcoming council meetings. Surprise Independent
- ➤ Dysart Unified School District announced that students earned 1,146 state seals for proficiency in finance, arts or civics on their diplomas this year. The district's high schools reported an increase in finance seals — from 748 to 855 — during the 2025-26 school year. Surprise Independent
