- ➤ Residents will learn job search techniques at a workshop on Tuesday, July 8 from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Surprise Resource Center at 12425 W Bell Road, and a second session on interviewing skills will be held on Tuesday, July 15 from 8 to 11 a.m. Interested participants can register by calling Workforce Development Coordinator Melinda Greenhouse at 623-222-1630. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Surprise City Council approved agreements with Dysart Unified and Nadaburg Unified on June 17 to provide school resource officers for local schools this upcoming school year—Dysart will pay over $870,000 for services at multiple high, middle, and elementary schools while Nadaburg has budgeted nearly $148,000 and the department will receive over $1 million to outfit the schools.
