- ➤ Surprise now hosts a self-service legal kiosk at the Surprise Resource Center at 12425 W. Bell Road to help residents access civil legal information and resources. The kiosk is available during regular hours—8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the third Saturday of the month. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Surprise Regional Library is bringing back a puppet theater with the Great Arizona Puppet Theater presenting 'The Monkey and the Pirate' (a hand puppet show) from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 19 at 16089 N. Bullard Ave (no registration is required). Surprise Independent
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The city of Surprise will host a workshop called 'Designing a Water Harvesting Landscape' at the Surprise Water Education Center on 16126 N. Civic Center Plaza from 6 to 7:30 p.m. + Wednesday, July 23 + where water officials will share ideas on designing water harvesting basins to slow runoff and enhance water absorption on site. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The city of Surprise is auctioning vehicles and equipment in its public surplus auction that runs until 8 p.m. Monday, July 21. Bidders must pick up their purchases by appointment within five days after the auction—contact the city's Procurement Department for details. Surprise Independent
