- ➤ Surprise Vice Mayor Jack Hastings and City Councilmembers Patrick Duffy and Chris Judd will host a joint district meeting at the Public Safety Building Auditorium, 14250 W. Statler Plaza, Suite 101, on Saturday, Aug. 2 at 9 a.m. Members of the Surprise Police Department are expected to speak at the meeting. Surprise Independent
- ➤ The city of Surprise is holding a public auction through 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4 where electronics, bikes and other surplus items are available for bidding — buyers must schedule pickup appointments within five calendar days after the auction closes. Surprise Independent
