- ➤ Starting Aug. 4, Surprise residents can register for Tot Time—a state-licensed program that offers educational activities and play to prepare children aged 3 to 5. Non-residents can register on Aug. 11, and the program will run from Sept. 2 to May 14 at Sierra Montana and Countryside Recreation Centers from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. - ➤ BNSF Railway is moving forward on its Logistics Park Phoenix project in the northwest Valley — a combined vote on rezoning and the project is planned later this fall — while officials pledge to address local concerns about traffic, pollution and safety. Surprise Independent
