- ➤ Old Navy opens its doors today at Prasada North on Prasada Parkway—store officials said a 10-minute ribbon cutting begins at 9:50 a.m.—and the first 100 customers will receive a free gift while gift baskets are raffled to support the Boys and Girls Club. The new 10,000-square-foot store will serve Surprise residents with clothing for the whole family and spare them trips to other city locations. Surprise Independent
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Surprise officials are seeking feedback from residents and stakeholders on revised building and fire safety codes before adopting the 2024 International Codes in December—ensuring the standards are up to date. Two public meetings will be held at Asante Library on Aug. 27 at 6 p.m. and at City Hall Community Room on Sept. 3 at 3 p.m., and comments can be submitted until Sept. 8. Surprise Independent
