- ➤ Surprise drivers will face a closure on 219th Avenue from Deer Valley to Pinnacle Peak roads on Tuesday, Aug.26 and Wednesday, Aug.27 as the city performs pavement preservation work from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The city will apply a double chip seal treatment to create two 12-foot travel lanes and a four-foot shoulder while detours route traffic via Deer Valley Road — emergency access is maintained.
