- ➤ Surprise is marking Hispanic Heritage Month with the annual IMPRINT—Viva La Cultura art exhibit that shows works from Latin and Chicano-American artists; the exhibit is at City Hall weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Nov. 7 and will expand to Arts HQ Gallery from Sept. 19 to Oct. 30 with free entry and an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Surprise Independent
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Surprise will host four of the top-100 MLB prospects in the Arizona Fall League this fall as the Surprise Saguaros start a 12-game home schedule on Oct. 8 — thirteen top prospects will compete among six teams, with Surprise and the Peoria Javelinas each featuring four. Surprise Independent
