- ➤ Surprise mayor Kevin Sartor urged voters to support the DUSD override proposal as an investment in schools and the community, noting the measure will cost property owners $24.86 a month and help keep small class sizes and key programs — including art, music, athletics and full-day kindergarten — that retain quality teachers.
