- ➤ Conscious Creations Art Studio in Surprise will host a Holiday Sip and Shop event on Sunday, Nov. 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.—more than a dozen local vendors will offer unique holiday gift opportunities and free refreshments at the studio on N. Dysart Road. Surprise Independent
- ➤ Country music star Russell Dickerson was announced as the headliner for next spring's Out of the Park Music Fest in Surprise — the festival will take place at Mark Coronado Park next to Surprise Stadium from 2 to 10 p.m. on March 21. Surprise Independent

- ➤ Shadow Ridge High School senior Nicholas Snyder was named a semifinalist in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program. He is one of only 16,000 semifinalists chosen from over 1.3 million high school seniors nationwide—he aspires to attend MIT and the local district praised his academic excellence. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Governor Katie Hobbs rolled out AZRx on Monday as Arizona’s free, state-backed prescription discount card that uses a privacy-first approach—differing from private services like GoodRx. The card is available to Arizona residents at more than 1,200 pharmacies, and it will help the state negotiate lower medication prices. ABC15

- ➤ On November 5, 2025, Maricopa County health inspectors found that several Valley eateries breached food safety standards—some locations had brown and black residue in ice machines and expired marinara sauce noted in their kitchens. AZ Family

- ➤ Major League Baseball released the 2026 Cactus League schedule on Nov. 5, with the Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals set to open the season in Surprise on Feb. 20 and other games scheduled through March, including two World Baseball Classic exhibitions at Surprise Stadium.
