- ➤ The Northwest Valley Chamber of Commerce will host a drop-in networking event on Dec. 4 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Ottawa University-Arizona where up to 300 guests will enjoy complimentary gourmet hors d’oeuvres, premium cocktails from Crescent Crown Distributing, and live acoustic music by Chris Yak—Chamber officials said the event recognizes members and is not a fundraiser. - ➤ Aspiring firefighters 18 and older will train with Surprise Fire-Medical Department members in the On Deck program.
