- ➤ Tickets are now on sale for Surprise's Out of the Park Music Fest—an eight-hour spring concert set for Saturday, March 21 to mark the end of spring training season. Multi-platinum country music artist Russell Dickerson headlines the event with general admission tickets starting at $50 and VIP options available at $150, along with exclusive ticket bundles that combine the festival with an earlier spring training game. - ➤ Surprise’s next LIVE at Asante concert at the Asante Library will feature Arizona-based musician Abby Walker and local singer-songwriter Kenyon France Duo from 6 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 20. Walker, who placed third in Alice Cooper’s competition, and Duo, who has written original songs locally for several years, bring fresh local talent+ adding to the monthly series. Surprise Independent
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Surprise Parks and Recreation Department has opened registration for winter youth sports leagues including Jr. Suns basketball, kickball, and NFL flag football—most games take place on Saturdays with practices held once a week by volunteer coaches. The program also offers a girls-only flag football division for ages 13 to 15—skills classes, clinics, and camps for ages 6 to 15 run from November through February with age eligibility determined on or before March 1.
