- ➤ Surprise will hold its 10th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Celebration and Service on Jan. 17, 2026, and the city is hosting the #SurpriseCelebratesMLK Challenge for residents to share acts of service by Dec. 31. - ➤ Seventy Seven's held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its second barbershop location in Surprise (12100 N. Dysart Road, Suite 102) on Nov. 12 with Mayor Kevin Sartor, Pedro Lopez IV, and Benji Salcido present.
