- ➤ Today, all Barro's Pizza locations in Surprise donate 100% of proceeds from dine-in, carry-out and delivery orders to St. Mary's Food Bank to help provide meals as part of their annual Holiday Hunger Fight. The two locations are at 15403 W. Greenway Rd and 16350 N. Pat Tillman Blvd. Surprise Independent
- ➤ Surprise will host its fourth annual Sensitive Santa Experience on Saturday, Dec. 13 at Surprise Stadium from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event offers private Santa visits, games, crafts, snacks and vendor booths—with an ASL interpreter available (10 a.m. to noon) and admission at $5 per family. - ➤ Bullard Avenue is closed between Paradise and Tierra Buena lanes near the Recreation Campus until Monday, Dec. 29 for the Sparkling Surprise lights (the city also closed the south Library parking lot and set detours on routes to other facilities). Surprise Independent
