- ➤ The West Valley Wind Ensemble will hold 'America at 250,' a concert celebrating America's 250th anniversary, on Jan. 7 at 6 p.m. as part of the American Lutheran Church of Sun City's Wednesday Night Alive program (with Music Director Clark Chaffee and narration by Ellie Chaffee) performed by volunteer musicians. - ➤ Surprise Public Library System launched a patriotic library card contest for America's 250th birthday. Cardholders must submit original designs by Friday, Apr. 3 in one of four categories (America 250, Youth, Teen, Adult) and winners will be honored at a city council meeting in May. - ➤ WHAM Art Center’s 'All Things Clay' juried exhibition — showcasing local clay artists — runs from Jan. 3, 2026 to Jan. 30, 2026 at 16560 N. Dysart Road. An artist reception is scheduled on Jan. 10, 2026 from 2 to 4 p.m. Surprise Independent
- ➤ The Gathering Church will host its fifth annual Christmas in the Park event from Dec. 20 to Dec. 24 at Mark Coronado Park (15960 N. Bullard Ave.) each evening from 6 to 9 p.m. The free festival features music, a Journey to Bethlehem display, rides, treats and interactive activities. Surprise Independent
