- ➤ P.E.O. Chapter ER in Surprise collected $1,600 in gift card donations for the local police at its December meeting. The gift cards will be dispersed through the Victim’s Assistance Unit and New Life Center to support an individual (adult or child) who has faced trauma. Surprise Independent

- ➤ Surprise is asking residents to offer feedback on an updated parks master plan for 3,500-acre McMicken Dam open space. The plan will guide new trails, wildlife corridors, and conservation areas in the coming months. Surprise Independent
