- ➤ On Dec. 4, Sonoran Heights Middle School student Mohammad Salam was crowned as the Dysart Unified School District spelling bee champion at the district offices after correctly spelling 'amateur' (joining top finishers Emma Rosengren, Landon Ellano-Rogers, Leila Bernhauser, and Kirsten Sanchez, who will advance to the regional contest).
