- ➤ Surprise will host its 24th annual mayor’s welcome back reception on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at Surprise Stadium from 4 to 6 p.m. City leaders, team partners and baseball fans will celebrate spring training with chef-crafted hors d’oeuvres and commemorative keepsakes ahead of games starting Feb. 20. - ➤ Surprise’s master gardeners are hosting a tour of the Xeriscape Garden to explain the benefits of native and desert plants.
