- ➤ The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety granted the Surprise Police Department $35,000 on August 12 to help cover DUI enforcement costs, which the City Council approved to pay for overtime and supplies—supporting public awareness and officer training. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ OUAZ has begun selling single-game tickets for fall sports events, including football, men's and women's soccer and women's volleyball—football games will start on Sept. 6 at Spirit Field at 7 p.m. Tickets cost between $9 and $28 and include reserved seating and general admission—children under 12, seniors and military pay only $9.
